Hope this helps some, and I hope others can help me further.Audio Discovery Solutions Flexible Audio Discovery Solutions Designed to Meet Your Needs In there you have (obviously) all the samples tagged with 'Kick' but also a 'Real' tag folder - clicking on which would show you all samples tagged with both 'Kick' AND 'Real' - as opposed to 'Kick' OR 'Real'. is it possible to configure Finder in such a way that you click on the 'Kicks' tag in the sidebar. The only bit I'm still stuck on is viewing multiple tags. You can therefore arrange your samples by sample pack, or however you want, then tag them all allowing you to browse them in a different arrangement through the tags. (Plus it still works if you move the original samples around.) This list of Tags in the Sidebar IS visible from Ultrabeat and other Samplers. You can then view all files/samples with these tags by clicking on the Tag in the Finder Sidebar. In Yosemite, you can assign custom tags to any file (Samplephonics, Hip-Hop, Snare, Clap, Hard Minimal Tech-House Kick, whatever). Jon Silva suggested tags as an option, but I hadn't realised the relevance: or at least, I've worked out two possible ways to do what I wanted.
In case anyone is still interested - I think I've found the solution. One thought I had was to do it using Aliases. I'm sure you could do this in Kontakt or similar - however, really, I need to be able to do this globally as I access my samples through Kontakt, Ultrabeat and Finder depending on the situation.

Is it possible to do this in Mac OSX globally? Or is this a bit of a pipe dream? but then I can also go to my separate ' Claps' folder and this will also contain the Claps from ' BrassBaby TR-808 Dropped Out Of A Plane'. Is it possible to index them according to the sample library they come from, then also split into kick/snare/hat, then also, say, genre.įor example: I have my ' BrassBaby TR-808 Dropped Out Of A Plane' sample folder with all the Kick, Clap etc samples in it.
So you have multiple drum sample libraries, each one containing folders of KICKS, SNARES, HATS etc. I'm wondering if there is a way of indexing samples globally in Mac OSX Yosemite by different categories, like you can give patches attributes in Massive, for example:
